This has been an exceptional year and one we will all remember. Of course, there have been event cancellations but we have managed to keep working and retain core staff and a wider group of artists and creatives. We have been working to recovery – that special time when we can deliver live events again. In the process we have delivered most of our work online and produced live steaming events of past and current work. We have found that we can make very strong creative relationships through Zoom, Teams, Skype and we have been able to work with partners in Indonesia, Malawi and Cork (Ireland) for our developing Bridge Project 2021-2 and Flow being planned for City of Culture 2021.

We have been planning our 2021-2 programme which will include:

Combustion – a major Project with Artichoke (London) -2021-2 and then biennially.

Flow in partnership with COC 21, Birmingham Commonwealth Games, The Marine Institute (Cork).

Bridge 2021 Coventry residency, (National tour June – August)

Bridge2Bamboo for 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games

Jack’s Frogs 2021-2 with Open Theatre Company as part of COC 21.

Our programme of education and training work has continued through

TEACH MAKE a STEAM education project with Coventry Primary Schools

Transformations – with young NEETS training in technical aspects of event management.

Please look out for our confirmed programme for 2021/ 2022 and further details at the end of March 2021- details announced on our website March 31st 2021.

The Daimler Powerhouse

We are moving back into The Daimler Powerhouse at the end of March with resident companies – Open Theatre, Highly Sprung, Media Mania and Talking Birds. There will be an exciting Opening as part of City of Culture in August 2021.

I would like to thank the Imagineer Team, our Board of Trustees, funders, participants, artists and friends for all your support, which has put us in a very strong position, finalising our programme for the next two really important years ahead.

Happy Christmas and New Year and a wonderful 2021.
