Home / Blog / Wow – what a time we have had!

Many ups and downs as like many organisations, we have grappled with cancelling events and trying to work online. The pace is even faster than ever – no need to walk to a meeting, they can just happen one after the other. It has felt that no matter how many zooms/Teams/Skypes – there is always time for another! It’s time to take stock – we are surviving.

Bridge in Barking and Dagenham this summer was cancelled.

Culture On The Move as part of The Coventry Great Places Programme, postponed.

The Global Streets programming cancelled/postponed.

Workshop activity cancelled for the foreseeable future.

But

The Daimler Powerhouse Capital Redevelopment has started and will be completed by March 31st 2021.

Community making projects have worked online furthering the development of projects with Monday Night Makers and Transformations

Bridge in Barking and Dagenham is developing 12 online artist/community commissions

Imagineers are sharing their practice.

Films of past work Bridge and Godiva Awakes have been shown on love screen reaching 20,000 audience supported by The Coventry Bid.

Bridge 1&2, Combustion Flow and Jack’s Frogs have all undergone significant development and will form our 2021-3 creative programme.

The Teach Make Project with Primary Schools is beginning

We are beginning to plan to return to Temple Workshops with short safe programmes of activity and looking further ahead now to the completion of The Daimler Powerhouse and a full 2021 programme.

Until then trying to limit to no more than 3 Zooms/Teams/Skypes a day with some real thinking time in between!
